Spirit worth Rs 10 lakh seized

Kancheepuram, Oct 10 (UNI) The district police tonight seized 350 cans of spirit, worth about Rs ten lakh and impounded two lorries in which the spirit was transported.

Following a tip off district Superintendent of Police Periah alerted the Madurantakam Deputy Superintendent of Police who swung into action and intercepted the two lorries. The driver and the cleaner, however.

Police registered a case and was investigating.
