Tirupati, Oct 10 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekara Reddy today assured that a special drinking water project would be set up in Chandragiri Constituency of Chittoor district shortly.
Addressing public, after inaugurating Indiramma houses at Itehepalle village near here, he said the 'Telugu Ganga' drinking water would be supplied through Kandaleru reservoir and reach Chandragiri Constituency, where people were facing severe drinking water shortage. An action plan for the project would be made soon, he added.
He claimed that his Government would take all necessary steps to bring the old glory of Chittoor dairy, which was neglected by the previous TDP regime.
Later the Chief Minister distributed Rs 20,186.97 lakh, worth assets, to 792 beneficiaries including SHGs.
