Landslide, blockade affect highway traffic in Manipur

Imphal, Oct 10 (UNI) Traffic on National Highway 53 was today affected by a bandh called by the Development Coordination Team, Tousem Range, Tamenglong district to demand proper road connectivity and improvement in power conditions.

Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh said the bandh should not be called and the issue can be resolved through talks. However, due to the bandh, traffic on national highway 53 from Imphal to Jiribam was affected.

Meanwhile, road connectivity between Imphal and Kasom Khullen was also affected in Manipur due to a landslide on the road.
