K'taka: 5 killed as temple collapses

Shimoga (Karnataka), Oct 10: Five people were killed and 35 others were injured when a temple, under construction, collapsed in the town today.

Police said that the death toll may rise since more than 10 people were suspected to be caught under the debris of Shaneshwara temple under construction.

Efforts are continuing to rescue those who were caught under debris. Fire Force and police personnel, with the help of local people, were involved in rescue operation.

The bodies recovered have been sent for postmortem.
