Arihant acquires Soundarapandian textile store

Chennai, Oct 10: Arihant Retail Private Limited, a family clothing company of the Surana Group, one of the oldest and reputed city-based trade houses, has acquired "Soundarapandian Store," a textile shop in North Chennai, in its quest for expansion.

Soudarapandian Store would come under the banner of Arihant family clothing shop and it was a coincidence that the newly acquired shop located close to Arihant's existing shop in north Chennai, a company release here said.

"Since both the showrooms bear the tag of Arihant family clothing shop, the existing one will be a women's exclusive in ground and first floor and the second floor will cater to the needs of men and children," it said.

''We want north Chennai to regain its past glory in attracting all sections for their clothing needs,'' Mr Vishal Surana, Director said.

Arihant was the first to open an exclusive shop for men "Hot Male" in Washermenpet and the resounding success encouraged the promoters to come up with another "Hot Male" shop in Anna Nagar in the city, he said.
