Turk parlt must authorise large Iraq incursion-min

ANKARA, Oct 9 (Reuters) Turkey's parliament must authorise any large-scale military incursion into northern Iraq to crush Kurdish rebels hiding there, Defence Minister Vecdi Gonul said today.

But no such parliamentary authorisation is required for more limited, so-called ''hot pursuit'' operations across the border, he said. Earlier, the prime minister's office vowed to take every measure, including a possible military cross-border operation, to crush the rebels.
