Tamil Nadu: Six killed as bus hits lorry

Cuddalore, Oct 9: Six persons, including two women, were killed and seven injured when a state-owned bus rammed into a stationary lorry at Cheppakkam near Vepur in this district early today.

According to police, four persons died on the spot and two others succumbed to injuries at the Vridhachalam Government and Tiruchirapalli Government hospitals respectively.

The injured were admitted to the Tiruchirapalli government hospital.

The Tamil Nadu State Express Transport Corporation bus was proceeding to Chennai from Madurai, when the accident occurred, police said.
