Silver, Gold close down on bearish global advice

Mumbai, Oct 9: Precious metals closed weaker for the second consecutive day today with Silver down by Rs 65 per kg and gold by 95 per ten gm on increase in offers by stockists, induced by discouraging advice from global and upcountry markets, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 17,855 (17,920) Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 9,345 (9,440) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 9,395 (9,490).
