MP: Rtd Colonel's accidental brush with art

Bhopal, Oct 9: Abstract and surreal themes -- not the horrors of a blood-bespattered battlefield -- are depicted in the paintings of Sena Medal-recipient Colonel (Retd) Manohar Singh Advani, a veteran of the 1965 and 1971 Indo-Pak wars.

''How is it that you are a fauji and still paint,'' was the question that people shot more than once at the former Corps of Engineers officer, an outdoor person who plays golf to keep in shape and takes spiritual refuge in the Srimad Bhagavatam.
