Sohna, Haryana, Oct 9 (UNI) Leading plastics company OK Play India Ltd (OPIL) is eyeing to cash in on the retail boom with its new range of shopping carts, display racks and signages.

''With the retail market in India worth 210 billion dollars, and growing at 5-7 per cent annually, there will be a need for shopping carts, display racks and signages. All these are already available in metal and wood, but what we offer is cheaper, light-weight, durable and cost-effective,'' said company Managing Director Rajan Handa.

OPIL is eyeing a sales target of Rs 20 crore from the retail segment alone. The company's range includes mannequins, furniture trolleys, wheel barrows, road furniture, mobile charging units, drop boxes, litter bins and vendor carts.

The company is also trying to make a complete plastic phone booth. ''We already have the kiosk model and will soon come out with the booth,'' said Mr Handa.

OPIL is also looking at tying up with various food chains for supplying carts and boxes. ''We are developing pizza boxes and ice-cream carts as well. We need to get feedback on the kind of requirements of the company,'' said Mr Handa.
