Sugar prices remain flat on small demand

Navi Mumbai, Oct 8 (UNI) Sugar prices remained steady today on moderate demand, traders at the wholesale sugar market said.

Prices of small and medium grades (per quintal) gained slightly by Rs 5 each owing to scattered buying support from bulk consumers in the face of sufficient stocks.

Sugar in ex-mill small and medium grades (per quintal) also remained flat on moderate demand, traders said.

Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,356/1,396, Medium grade: Rs 1,390/1,500.

Ex-mill small grade: Rs 1,335/1,370, Medium grade: Rs 1,375/1430.
