No-confidence motion against NWFP CM to be withdrawn

Islamabad, Oct 8 (UNI) Federal Minister for Political Affairs and PML NWFP President Amir Muqam has said the no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Akram Durrani, voting on which was scheduled for today, would be withdrawn.

Muqam said the purpose of the motion was to avert a possible dissolution of the provincial assembly so that the presidential polls may be conducted smoothly. Considering that presidential elections had already concluded there is no purpose in moving no-confidence motion. The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by Muqam here at his residence and other opposition leaders, Daily Times reports.
