Man gets life imprisonment for double murder

Yamunanagar, Oct 8 (UNI) A local court today awarded life imprisonment to a man for killing two persons by stoning them to death.

District and Sessions judge Virender Kumar had convicted Ram Kumar, hailing from Deoband in Uttar Pradesh, for killing and looting Ajay and his nephew Dinesh, both residents of Bihar, in June 2006.

Ram Kumar brought Ajay and Dinesh along with him from Bihar on the promise of getting them work here. He stoned the duo to death after serving them liquor and took away Rs 20,000 from their possession.

While awarding him life imprisonment under section 302, the judge also imposed a fine of Rs 5000 against him. The judge also awarded him an additional imprisonment of seven years and imposed a fine of Rs 5000 for looting the deceased.
