HRTC bags productivity award

Shimla, Oct 8 (UNI) Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) has bagged the productivity award for minimum operational costs highest kmpl and maximum improvement in kmpl, an official spokesman today said.

The corporation has been awarded for maintaining minimum operational cost of Rs 21.72 per km, highest km per litre at 3.70 km per litre as against 3.65 kmpl and maximum improvement in kmpl, saving a sum of Rs two crore, he said in a release here.

The spokesman said ministry of road transport and highways secretary Brahma Dutt handed over the award to the HRTC Managing Director T C Janartha at the annual conference of the state transport at New Delhi today.

The corporation has achieved this distinction due to the whole hearted support from its employees, he added.
