Five Tripura militants surrendered in two days

Agartala, Oct 8 (UNI) Altogether five militants of National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) have surrendered before the security forces in last two days along with arms and ammunition.

Police said NLFT (BM) extremist Sakhi Debbarma (40) surrendered to Tripura State Rifles (TSR) in West Tripura with ten rounds of 303 ammunition, while Bikramjoy Reang (26) laid down one revolver along with live cartrige and Bangladeshi currencies to TSR yesterday.

Meanwhile, three hardcore NLFT activists Dushanjoy Tripura (25) Santi Joy Tripura (25) and Phirak Tripura (26) surrendered before Assam Rifles in South Tripura on October six last, police said adding interrogation of the militants was going on.
