Five Tripura militants surrender in 2 days

Agartala, Oct 8: Altogether five militants of National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) has surrendered before the security forces in past two days along with arms and ammunition.

Police said NLFT (BM) extremist Sakhi Debbarma (40) surrendered to Tripura State Rifles (TSR) in West Tripura with 10 rounds of 303 ammunition yesterday, while Bikramjoy Reang (26) laid down one revolver along with live cartrige and Bangladeshi currencies to TSR on the same day.

Meanwhile, three hardcore NLFT activists Dushanjoy Tripura (25) Santi Joy Tripura (25) and Phirak Tripura (26) surrendered before Assam Rifles in South Tripura on October six last, police said adding that interrogation of the militants going on.
