Steel processing unit to be set up in Ujjain

Ujjain, Oct 7 (UNI) The possibility of opening up a steel-processing unit by the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) here has strengthened due to efforts of Steel Mining and Coal Parliamentary Committee Chairman Satyanarain Jatia.

As per official information, SAIL officials visited Ujjain in view of possibility of setting up of the Rs 200 crore-unit, which would provide employment to about 500 people of the region.

SAIL's Bhilai Steel Plant's chief project manager S K Pradhan inspected land near soybean plant in Nagjhiri, Manpura and Bandka villages in Ujjain and industrial area in Bharatpuri and Umarni.

SAIL officials will submit their report to their office in New Delhi.
