Man crushed to death by moving train

Puducherry, Oct 7 (UNI) A 33-year-old man was crushed to death when a train ran over him, while he was trying to cross the railway track at Arumparthapuram here today.

According to police, Usman Ali, working in a Bar at Ariyyankuppam, went to Villianur by bus to meet one of his friends. When the bus reached Arumparthapuram, he got down and was crossing the railway track when a special train, which had organised a painting competition for children, ran over him, killing him on the spot.

A case had been registered.
