Lanji bypoll: BJP meeting on Oct 8

Bhopal, Oct 7 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party's Madhya Pradesh Election Committee would deliberate the October 30 Lanji assembly bypoll in Balaghat district at a meeting to be chaired here tomorrow by state unit President Narendra Singh Tomar.

''The chief discussion will be on candidate selection,'' said a BJP release issued today.

Gondwana Ganatantra Party candidate Rajeshwar yesterday submitted his nomination papers, official sources said. The notification was issued yesterday, the last date for submitting papers is October 12, scrutiny would take place the following day and names may be withdrawn by October 15. Counting is scheduled for November 3. Lanji fell vacant following the demise of BJP legislator Dilip Bhatere.
