Case registered in 8 months old rape case

Amroha, Jyotiba Phule Nagar, Oct 7 (UNI) Police today registered a case against the accused in a eight-months-old rape case.

A teenager was molested by two youths at village Pakhraula Hasampur in Gajraula area eight months back.

The victim's family accused the police of ''sheltering'' the rapists.

Notwithstanding several complaints, no action was taken against the accused, they claimed.

On instructions of Police Superintendent Beena Mukesh, a case was finally registered against the accused.

Meanwhile, on experiencing labour pain, the teenager was rushed to a closeby hospital, where she gave birth to a son.
