Case registered against senior students for ragging

Bhopal, Oct 7 (UNI) A FIR had been lodged against two senior students of a private engineering college on the charge of ragging and beating up a first year engineering student, police said today.

Shivpuri-resident Vishal Sharma had taken admission in the first year of the college and was staying in the college hostel. Kunal Choudhary and Neeraj Kumar, who are second year students allegedly, beat up Vishal on the night of October 5.

Vishal and his father Mahendra Sharma informed the police about the matter yesterday. Police have registered a case against the two students and their friends.

Mr Sharma said the two students had beaten up other students of the hostel also but they did not complain to police because of fear.
