MP: Case registered on senior students for ragging

Bhopal, Oct 7: A FIR has been lodged against two senior students of a private engineering college on the charge of ragging and beating up a first year engineering student, police said today.

Shivpuri-resident Vishal Sharma had taken admission in first year of the college and was put up in the hostel. Kunal Choudhary and Neeraj Kumar, who are studying in second year, beat Vishal up on the night of October 5.

Vishal and his father Mahendra Sharma informed police about the matter yesterday. Police have registered a case against the two students and their friends.

Mr Sharma said the two students had beaten up other students of the hostel but they did not complain to police because of fear. He said his son was being ragged and misbehaved since past few days.

However, it crossed limit on the night of October 5.
