Ration dealer commits suicide in Bankura
Bankura, Oct 6 (UNI) With the growing public outrage against ration shop owners, Bimal Kundu, a ration dealer of Barakumira village in Gangajal ghanty of the district, allegedly committed suicide today.
Bankura District Magistrate Surendra Gupta said though there was no specific complaint against the dealer, yet he was mentally depressed when a few villagers raised some questions about his 'behaviour'.
However, a probe has been ordered into Bimal Kundu's death, he said.
Earlier,
two
persons

Bardhaman

were
killed
in
police
firing
when
they
were
staging
demonstration
in
front
of
the
residences
of
the
ration
dealers
protesting
irregular
supply
of
the
Public
Distribution
System.
