Krishna Menon's death anniversary observed by legal fraternity

New Delhi, Oct 06 (UNI) The legal fraternity today observed the 33rd death anniversary of V K Krishna Menon, who had contributed significantly to shaping the country's foreign policies.

Former Minister of state for external affairs and presently Kerala Governor R L Bhatia highlighted the role of Krishna Menon in formulating the foreign policy for India at the function held at Krishna Menon bhaway said.

Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Justice Vijender Jain said "according to Krishna Menon there is nothing foreign in the foreign policy of the country.If the country does not practice secularism, honesty,integrity, it cannot practice any foreign policy." Delhi High Court judges, Justice Kailash Ghambhir,Justice Hima Kohli, Justice H R Malhotra and Justice S N Aggarwal were present at the the function.

Lawyer Daljit Sen Adel,a close associate of Krishna Menon narrated the incidents when the late foreign minister spoke vociferously in the United Nations on the issue of 'Inequality among the Rich and poor nations'. A book written by Adel on the 'Scouting in India and Freedom struggle'was released by Mr Bhatia and Justice Jain.

Senior lawyer and Vice president of the Krishna Menon Memorial Society Virender Sood along with Lawyer A S Chandiok,Kirti Uppal,G K Bansal,U K Chaudhry,D K Sharma,J M S Tyagi,H R Banga,Jatan Singh,H C Bhatia,Pushkar Sood,Anshuman Sood,Gunjan Sharma,Rajesh Luthra and J C Batra were present at the occasion.
