Fire breaks out in Mayur Bhawan

New Delhi, Oct 6 (UNI) Fire broke out in the fifth floor of a multi-storeyed building at Connaught Place area early this morning, fire brigade officials said.

It took the fire service personnel more than three hours to douse the flames which broke out at 0505 hrs.

Thirty fire engines and rescue vehicles were rushed to put off the blaze at Mayur Bhawan which houses the offices of the Income Tax and other government departments.

No casualties or injuries were reported in the fire, which started from the fifth floor of the building and later spread to the fourth floor, the officials said.

The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.
