BJP withdraws support to Kumaraswamy Government

New Delhi, Oct 6 (UNI) The BJP today withdrew support to the 20-month old H D Kumaraswamy government in Karnataka, ending hopes of a last minute compromise.

The decision by the BJP Parliamentary Board, the apex body of the party comes after talks between BJP President Rajnath Singh and Janata Dal (Secular) President H D Deve Gowda last night over transfer of power failed to yield ''positive results'', party Vice President Yashwant Sinha announced to newspersons after the hour-long meeting at the BJP headquarters.

He said the Parliamentary Board had directed BJP Legislature Party leader B S Yediyurappa and Karnataka BJP President Sadananda Gowda to rush back to Bangalore and seek an appointment with the state Governor to submit their letter of withdrawal.
