BJP to meet Governor Thakur tomorrow
Bangalore, Oct 6 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party will tomorrow submit a letter to Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur to formally withdraw support to the Janata Dal (Secular), bringing an end to the 20-month-old arrangement between the two parties.
Speaking to UNI over phone from New Delhi, state party chief D V Sadananda Gowda said a meeting of the party's legislators had been convened tomorrow morning before meeting the Governor.
In reply to a question, Mr Gowda informed that no decision was taken on the issue of seeking dissolution of the assembly from Governor after withdrawing its support to the ruling JD(S).
''The Party Parliamentary Board has taken decision only to withdraw its support extended to the JD(S) and the next course of action will be taken only after consulting the party High Command,'' he added.
