UP: Radha-Krishna idol worth Rs 1 cr stolen

Fatehpur, Oct 6: Masked burglars stormed into a century-old temple in the Sultanpur Ghosh area of the city and decamped with a precious 'ashtadhatu' idol of Radha-Krishna, estimated on Rs one crore in the international market.

The burglary occurred at an ancient temple, 60 km away from the district headquarters, where the precious idol was found missing this morning.

In February, unidentified men had made off with the gold jewellery of Radha-Krishna.

A manhunt had been launched.
