Two killed, one injured in continuing 'assault' by city's Bluelines

New Delhi, Oct 5 (UNI) Two people died and another way injured in three separate incidents in the city today involving Blueline buses in the city's West district.

In the first incident, a 28-year-old man was crushed this morning after he came under the wheels of a Blueline bus near Fun Cinemas, while getting down in the Moti Nagar area of West Delhi.

Vikram Kumar, a paper supplier and resident of Jehangirpuri, was crushed to death after he came under the rear wheel of the Blueline, plying on route no 817 (Inderlok to Najafgarh), when the bus started with a jerk at the red light while he was trying to get down, according to the police.

''His head was crushed and he died on the spot when the incident took place at about 1100 hrs.'' Both the driver and the conductor fled the spot immediately.

Efforts were on to nab them, police added.

In the second incident, Nanak Chand (27), who was driving a motorcycle, was hit by a speeding Blueline in Tilak Nagar area of West Delhi.

Chand died on the spot, near Krishna Park in Tilak Nagar.

However, the driver of the bus, Buta Singh, was arrested and the bus impounded.

''His head was crushed in the accident which took place at about 1530 hrs,'' said the police.

The route no 114 (Old Delhi to Qutub Garh) bus was not plying on its route but ferrying devotees from a 'satsang' and was on its way to Sultanpuri.

In the third incident, 33-year-old Rajiv Chaudhary was injured after being hit by a Blueline (plying on route no 720 -- Janakpuri to Shahdara), while crossing the road, in Janakpuri area of West Delhi.

Dabri resident Chaudhary was taken to the Chanan Devi Hospital but later shifted to the DDU Hospital where he is recuperating, police added.
