Six northern states to evolve policy on medical education
Jaipur, Oct 5 (UNI) Six Northern states and union territory of Delhi are contemplating a move to evolve joint and uniform policy on medical education, Punjab Medical Education Minister Tikshan Sud has said.
Talking to reporters, Mr Sud said that the move was being mooted for achieving standardised medical eduction, including uniform syllabi, fee structure, admission procedure and other studies and research related issues and dealing with common problems by six states. The six states are Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Union territory of Delhi.
He said that the initiation of the process was being planned with a joint three tier conference proposed to be held in Amritsar in tbe next two months.
He said that Directors, Secretaries and Ministers of the above states would participate in the conference.
