Police recovers huge phensidyl

Agartala, Oct 5: The city police here recovered a huge consignment of contraband medicines worth of about Rs 2 lakh from an abandoned house in main commercial area last night.

According to police, acting on a tip-off East Agartala police had conducted raids at Shantipara area of the capital and recovered 30,000 bottles of Phensidyal and other drugs.

Police launched investigation but nobody was arrested in this connection so far. The contraband goods were suspected to be stored for smuggling to Bangladesh, sources said .
