Nepalese PM summons special parliament session
Kathmandu, Oct 5 (UNI) After the Nepal Government decided to suspend the election, Nepalese Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has summoned the special session of the Interim Legislature Parliament on October 11.
The meeting of seven parties held this morning has agreed to summon the special session of the parliament.
After consultation with Speaker Subas Nemwang PM Koirala had summoned the special session.
CPN (Maoist), CPN (Unity Centre) and CPN Leftist Front had registered a petition at the Parliament Secretariat on September 28, demanding the special session.
The Maoists have long been demanding the announcement of republic and abolition of monarchy through a parliamentary proclamation.
