Media attack: K Jana Reddy promises to act

Hyderabad, Oct 5 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Home Minister K Jana Reddy today promised to constitute a high-power committee soon to go into the attacks on journalists.

In a meeting, he assured this to a delegation of Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ), demanding action against a sub-inspector of police, who beat up a senior reporter of Urdu daily Siastat.

Mr Reddy promised to enquire into the matter and take action against those responsible for the attack, an APUWJ release here said.
