Left-UPA panel on nuclear deal meets

New Delhi, Oct 5 (UNI) The high-powered UPA-Left panel on the Indo-US nuclear deal met here today and carried forward its discussions on the basis of the inputs provided by the two sides.

The 15-member committee discussed the implications of the 123 agreement on the country's foreign policy.

Committee Convener and External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee told reporters after the panel's two-hour meeting that it would hold its next meeting on October 9.

All the members of the panel were present at today's meeting.
