HUJI leader Shahed behind twin blasts: Shahed's brother

Hyderabad, Oct 5 (UNI) Harkat-Ul-Jihadi Islami (HUJI) Commander Shahed alias Bilal was the mastermind behind the August 25 twin blasts and May 15 Mecca Blasts in the city, which claimed over 50 lives, his brother Majid confessed to Police.

Police sources said Majid, who was arrested recently in the city, confessed to Special Investigation Team (SIT) Police that his brother Shahed was the main person behind the twin blasts that occurred at Lumbini Park and Gokul Chat at busy Koti area.

He said Shahed had recruited Muslim youth for planting bomb in the city.

Both Imran Kaleem and Nayeem alias Sameer, who were arrested in connection with the blasts recently, were trained by the HUJI leader.

Shahed had hideouts in Bangladesh to train the Muslim youth.

As per Majid's confession, many youth, who were trained by Shahed, were absconding and planning to create panic in the city by triggering blasts, the police added.
