Deendayal Upadhay Mahotsav from Oct 7

Mathura, Oct 5 (UNI) A grand event to pay rich tributes to eminent social worker, thinker and politician Deen Dayal Upadhay will be organised at his birth place Nagla Chandrabhan here from October 7.

The three-day-event would be different from the previous year as this time, special efforts have been made to pump life into to the dead folk arts, which have almost vanished from the society.

Talking to mediapersons today, Mahotsav chairperson Banke Bihari Maheshwari said a huge crowd was likely to visit the event, which usually took the form of a grand mela.

This year, Agriculture and Rural Development Exhibition was organised as part of the Mela, which would be inaugurated by BJP State president Ramapati Ram Tripathi. The next day, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri would address the gathering, he informed.
