APL ration cards to be replaced by multi-coloured cards

Shimla, Oct 5 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh government has decided to replace the already issued green covered APL ration cards by a multi-coloured APL Ration Cards, a spokesman of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs said today.

He said the this process would start in all the districts of the state from October, 16 and would be completed by October, 31 he said in a release here.

The spokesman said all the APL ration card holders have been asked contact the Pradhan/Secretary of the concerned Gram Panchayat in rural Areas and District/Inspector (Food, Civil Supplies&Consumer Affairs) in Urban Areas for replacement of their green cover APL ration cards by the new multi-coloured ration cards.

No fee or price have to be paid for this replacement, he added.
