Magnitude 5.6 quake strikes Indonesia - USGS
WASHINGTON, Oct 4 (Reuters) A magnitude 5.6 quake struck Indonesia's Lombok island today, 190 km east of Bali, the US Geological Survey said.
It said the quake, whose epicenter was 152 km northeast of Mataram, was very shallow at 13.5 km deep.
Earlier yesterday, a 6.0 quake, originally reported as magnitude 6.3, struck the country's northern Aceh province but did not cause any casualties or damage.
