TV,
General
Pervez
Musharraf
today
agreed
to
step
down
as
Army
Chief
and
appoint
ex-ISI
chief
Ashfaq
Kayani
in
his
place
as
soon
as
he
gets
elected
as
President
on
October
06.
Meanwhile, Pakistan's opposition legislators submitted their resignations today as part of their efforts to undercut President Gen. Pervez Musharraf's re-election bid.
