Wipro's desktops with Intel Quad Core processors

Bangalore, Oct 3: Wipro Infotech, a unit of IT major Wipro, today announced the launch of desktops based on Intel's cutting edge 'Quad Core' processors.

A company release here today said the new desktops with Intel's 'Quad Core' processors would deliver four complete execution cores within a single processor.

The desktops would deliver unprecedented performance in multi-tasking and multi-threaded business environments.

The release also quoted Wipro Infotech Vice President for Personal Computing Division Ashutosh Vaidya as saying, ''We work closely with global technology leaders to bring cutting edge technology to the market. This launch re-affirms our alignment with Intel's leading technology platform.'' Intel India OEM Business Director Prakash Bagri said ''the Quad-Core Intel Core 2 Extreme processors deliver immense speed and responsiveness for general purpose servers, workstations, digital media creation, high-end gaming and other market segments.'' Intel's Quad Core technology renders 79 per cent better graphics, 54 per cent better video creation and 53 per cent better gaming experience compared to Intel's highest end of 'Core2Duo' series of processors, the release added.
