PM addresses country's Media

New Delhi, Oct 3, 2007: At an award function of the Indian Language Newspapers Association in New Delhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today urged for greater responsibility and more qualitative growth from the country"s media.

Singh said that the quantitative growth witnessed in the Indian media in the past has outpaced its qualitative growth. He also added that the media commands an extraordinary power and has the capacity to influence events and minds.
