Nuclear assets are for defence say Pak

United Nation, Oct 03, 2007 : Addressing the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, Pakistani Foreign Secretary Riaz Mohammad Khan said that his country's nuclear capabilities were only meant as a deterrent and defence.

Khan told the Assembly that Pakistan has been diligently working to stop terrorists in its regions, mainly pro-Taliban militants in the ethnic Pashtun areas bordering Afghanistan.
