Designer Pearls endeavour in Bhopal

Bhopal, Oct 03, 2007: The students of Applied Aquaculture studies in central Bhopal city have cultured 'designer pearls' that is being considered one of the first of such endeavors in the state.

A pearl is an organic gem, created when an oyster covers a foreign object with beautiful layers of nacre. Vijayeta Rathore, a student at the Applied Aquaculture department has conducted these experiments very successfully.
