ULFA hideout busted in Arunachal Pradesh

Itanagar, Oct 3 (UNI) Troops of 39 Assam Rifles(AR), stationed in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh, have conducted raids on an ULFA camp located near Ngoitong village under Namtok circle.

AR sources said here today that the ULFA ultras had managed to flee into the jungles during the raid.

However, a solar battery charger, two solar rechargeable batteries, one integrated DVD player with screen and huge quantity of camp items, including rations, beddings and utensils, were recovered from the hideout.

The villagers said seven cadres, including a woman had been living in the camp.

They had shifted the camp's location to three different places during the past month.

The villagers also claimed that the cadres had threatened them of dire consequences if the security forces were informed of their whereabouts adding that they were staying in Arunachal with support from the NSCN(K).
