Substandard wheat distributed through PDS in Goa: Parrikar
Panaji, Oct 3 (UNI) Alleging distribution of ''substandard'' wheat in various ration shops in Goa, the leader of opposition Manohar Parrikar has today challenged minister Jose Philip D'Souza to launch a probe into the episode.
Showing a plastic bag full of the substandard wheat to media persons, Mr Parrikar asked the minister to pay a visit to all PDS units and check the quality of the essential commodity for himself.
It was unfortunate that the Centre had been partially meeting the requirement of wheat and rice in Goa, he added.
