LSP calls for establishing 'Praja Rajyam'

Tirupati, Oct 3: The Lok Satta Party (LSP) has given a call to end corrupt politics as this was the only way to establish 'praja rajyam,' its national convener Jaya Prakash Narayan said.

Addressing a public meeting on the occasion of the first anniversary of the party here yesterday, he said 75 per cent workers of the LSP were below 25 years as the party intended to give preference to youngsters.

Stating that first anniversary meeting had been declared as Mahila Satta, Mr Narayan, announcing four-point political agenda of the party, demanded setting up of district governments by centralising powers and allocation of 50 per cent of the state budget for economic reforms and improve the living standards of poor.

Other demands in the agenda included advanced technique for profitable farming sector, establishment of research testing laboratories in each mandal, free education up to 12 standards and free healthcare facilities to all people.

LSP leaders from 23 districts of Andhra Pradesh, participated in the first anniversary meeting.
