Laser lighting facility being contemplated for Sukhna Lake

Chandigarh, Oct 3 (UNI) The Chandigarh Administration is contemplating installing laser lighting facility at the Sukhna Lake here to display various kinds of information and also provide entertainment.

Officers of the union territory administration visited the lake site in this regard yesterday. The Administration is planning to improve infrastructure and facilities at the lake and make the entire lake area more users friendly.

Laser light is useful in entertainment because its coherent nature causes a narrow beam which allows the use of optical scanning to draw patterns or images on walls, ceilings or other surfaces, including theatrical smoke and fog.

Keeping in view the location of Sukhna Lake and the sound restriction in the area, the Administration is exploring putting a sky laser show by placing the projectors at Rowing/Finishing Tower.

A large number of people from outside visit Chandigarh daily. The Chandigarh Administration has been making efforts to enhance the quality of life in the city. The Administration has been beautifying many places, creating new parks while adding value to the existing parks.
