Intel launches India Design House Programme

Bangalore, Oct 3 (UNI) Chip making major Intel today announced the launch of the India Design House Programme to focus on platforms and enable design houses to build products with Intel architecture.

Briefing newspersons Joe Jensen, General Manager, Embedded Markets division of Intel Corporation said, ''India is a focus country for Intel's embedded and communications business.'' ''Intel has initiated this programme to provide India Design Houses access to extended technical support, early access programmes, reference platforms and collateral to enable them to easily design platforms.'' Companies which enroll in this programme get access to Intel roadmaps, reference platforms, product samples, training and seminars to help them ramp their expertise.

Intel Embedded Markets Division Director Sanat Rao said embedded technology was used broadly today in Point of Sale (POS) Terminals, information kiosks, wired or wireless communication infrastructure, in-vehicle infotainment devices etc.
