Five injured after Railway engine catches fire
New Delhi, Oct 3 (UNI) Five persons were injured, two of them seriously, when a Railway engine caught fire at the Brar Square railway station in West Delhi, fire brigade officials said.
The officials said three fire engines were rushed to douse the fire, that occurred at 1908 hrs due to the bursting of a boiler of the engine.
Senior fire officials were rushed to the spot and the fire was soon extinguished.
Five persons were injured in the fire. Of them, two, Rati Ram and Raghuveer sustained 98 per cent burns and 68 per cent burns respectively and were admitted to the Safdarjung Hospital, the fire officials said.
The other three, Hari Chand, Mukesh and Om Prakash sustained minor injuries and were admitted to the base hospital.
