Class four employees demand regularisation of 40,000 workers

Hyderabad, Oct 3 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh State Class Four Employees Association today staged a dharna, demanding regularisation of the services of 40,000 daily wage and part time employees working in various government departments in the state.

According to a release here, State BC Welfare Association President R Krishnaiah said these employees were working for the last 20 to 25 years without break.

They all deserved regularisation of services as per the Supreme Court judgement in 2001, pertaining to regularisation of services of those who had put in 240 days of service in a year, he said.

He also demanded that the government fill vacancies in all departments immediately.
